About Us
Redline Track Days was created to make quality track time more accessible to track day junkies and first timers.
Following on from our own passion for motorbikes we wanted to bring you a safe, friendly and unintimidating environment for you to test your bike and your skills with no cops, no tickets and no speed limit.
Redline Track Days events are structured to allow riders to progress at their own pace and comfort level. Each level introduces additional riding and handling skills and allows for progressively faster rides.
Redline Track Days only use the best available race tracks throughout the North Island, including Pukekohe and Taupo, and provide the safety of St John’s Ambulance at each event.
We are currently in discussions with Hampton Downs Motor Sport Park to confirm dates for 2009, we hope to have these finalised shortly and will publish the dates as soon as secured.
Sessions - each track day will be split into 3 sessions, 20 minutes each;
- Group 1 - Fast (Track day regulars / Racers)
- Group 2 - Med/Fast
- Group 3 - Novice / Med (First Timers)
First Timers - please don’t feel intimidated as we will have an experienced rider at each track day to help you with your lines, braking, bike setup etc. and to answer any queries you may have on the day.
More Track time - to ensure everyone gets the most out of the day, we will have no official lunch break and ride from the first session at 10am till the last session at 4.30pm, only stopping for 10-15mins for the Bike Prize Draw at approx 12.30pm.
So why attend a Redline Trackday?
No Speed Limit - an obvious starting point for a novice going to a track for the first time is the luxury of no speed limits. This fact can maximize the enjoyment, but also can create danger if not respected. Your speed will naturally increase throughout the day as your confidence grows. Relax and have fun!
No Cars or Pedestrians - due to the fact that you are on a race track. You have none of these hazards to factor into your riding. The only car/van based vehicles that are allowed on the track are our own recovery/safety vehicles and medical services. However, it should be noted that none of these vehicles will be on the circuit until all on-track activity has been stopped. In the event of a serious incident all bikes will either be stopped on the track or return to the pit lane BEFORE any 4 wheel vehicles are allowed on track.
Flags - will be displayed to warn you of any on track incidents. Full briefings are given at the start of each day relating to flags and their meanings.
Clear Track - all vehicles travel in a counter clockwise direction, there are no drain covers, potholes or anything of that type to avoid. If the weather changes and it rains, you will need to watch out for white lines in the wet. They can be very slippery if wet! |
